I was just getting to the point where I was starting to worry. Garrett just did not seem to be making progress with his speech. But the last few days have brought a huge change. He is confidently putting the 'm', 'p' and 'b's at the end of words as well. In addition to using them correctly in day-to-day words (without having to stop and think really hard before saying the words).
And then tonight. A little lesson in Russian. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mDKaBGhxEY And I realize he can count to 10 in Russian nearly perfectly! I am a bit amazed since he never spoke Russian that the sounds come so easily to him. But it makes sense since that is what he has heard for the majority of his language formation. But it was neat to see his face when he realized he was hitting them on the nail!!! He just kept playing it over and over again :-)
It is still a long long road he has ahead of him. But as long as we keep finding ways for him to really enjoy his "homework", it will be good. Any ideas are always welcome :-)
