I know it is rare and I get razzed for the lack of them - but I am finally putting a "big people" post up.
David Update
Work: David is approaching his year anniversary at Monsanto. He has quickly become a go-to guy on his team and firmly established his mark there. He seems to be enjoying it and definitely enjoys his team members.
Fun: He is playing on a new raquetball league and is 5:2. He is also playing on Wed with a group of friends from work. David has nearly diminished his weekly guitar playing ritual but still enjoys an occassional jam with Chris and John.
Sport: David has gotten us 2 Blues partial season tickets and he has had a blast taking all of us to enjoy the game.
Health: Perfect as always
Monica Update
Work: I am still at..... well lets see today it is called "Wachovia" but shortly it will be "Wells Fargo". Work has been intense as I have been working diligently on the conversion of "AGEdwards" data to the "Wachovia" system. But it is done - finally!!! And just in time to turn around and convert "Wells Fargo" data on the "Wachovia" system. One good thing about mergers --- job security if you are in the business of moving data! It has been a tough road watching many of my friends get laid off and many other crumbling under the stress (and somedays it is me!). But in today's economy, I am grateful to be a solid employee.
Fun: I am enjoying parenting at all levels!!!! Learning the ABC's to Honors Geometry :-) It is sometimes a challenge having children at opposite sides of childhood, but mostly it is so fun!!!! It is hysterical to see sibling rivalry at these ages --- it never ceases! I am still in my monthly Bunco group. And some of my college girlfriends and I started a monthly girls night in --- just trying new recipes, drinks and girl talk at one of our houses --- so fun!
Sport: Some of you know already but I am slowly training for the STL Half Marathon. I say slowly because with the recent 7 day work weeks and odd mid-night shifts, I am behind in training. And I had strept throat and was out for a good 5 days. But my goal is to run and/or walk then entire 13 miles and that I am confident I can do. I am "morally" training with my friend Mary and even though we do not run together because she lives 2 hrs away - we email our stats and encourage each other.
Health: The thyroid condition is undercontrol with medication. It is just not managed completely yet. It is going to take me awhile to just the perfect diet to loss all the weight and maintain complete health. All in all though I am a thousand times better than this time last year or the year before.
