To Go or Not To Go

That is the question for Kindegarten. Garrett is enrolled in both the Catholic all-day kindegarten class and the public school all-day Kindegarten. And I suspect we will decide closer to the date!

There are days when I just feel that his speech delays are too great to send him to the more competative Catholic school.

And then there are days like yesterday, where I have no fear that he is so much smarter than I give him credit for and he needs the challenge of a great school!

On the way to a friends house, at the first stop light Garrett says "Mom Big Birds house". I turn around to watch him sign to make sure I understand. Then I say Big Bird lives in a nest. He is persistent and points to a Chinese restaraunt. I say "No, thats a restaraunt". But he won't let it rest. I give the restaraunt a good look and sure enough the sign says "Sesame Chinese Restaraunt". As far as I know he has only watched Sesame street a few times!

On the way back, (PS - we are driving up and down Lindbergh in Kirkwood so we are stopping every 2 minutes), he says "Mom doctor shot?" and I look to see him signing "getting a shot". I say "where" and he points to a hair salon. So I say "No that is where you get your hair cut". He insists, "Mom B L D G - Doctor". Sure enough outside his pediatricians office it says "BBC Health BLDG."

Unbelieveable!

The question will still remain unanswered until the end of the summer!
