Back on the keyboard

First of all, Happy Anniversary to my dear sweet husband. What a wonderful journey I have been on since I was so lucky and he choose me to share his life. Thank you David :-)

The laptop is back and better than ever :-) We have used the hiatus to make a few decisions..... but I have been very bad about taking pictures, no nothin' but words :-(

- Garrett is going to kindergarten in August. And again the next August! This year, he will attend the public school kindergarten and they will provide speech during the school day. Next August, he will start at St. Catherine Laboure (our parish school), and will have speech after school. After comparing both programs, it is so obvious that the Catholic school offers a program leaps and bounds above the public school in every way possible. And he simply is not ready for such a challenging program yet. But he is more than ready for the public school program, even without having made much progress in his speech. But the real kicker for us is that he is still so tiny and what little boy wants to be the tiniest in his class?

- Monica is having surgery May 26th. Its not a topic I like to (or really want to) talk about; but I suspect everyone will figure it out eventually. My thyroid numbers have come back extremely high. My endocronologist has made some alterations to my medicine and hopefully that will help. But truthfully, the stress that my endometriosis is having on my body is probably the highest factor to "freaking out" my thyroid. So it will all go. They are going to try to save one ovary but it is a long shot. I have been suffering with cysts, multiple cysts, every hormonal change (that would be every two weeks and they typically last 3-6 days and cause fever/extreme pain when they burst). Plus the fun endometrisis pain has gotten worse by the minute. It is a hopeful move and I relish is the opportunity to regain a painless life. But it is also a devastating blow; to realize my body is not able to sustain itself. Plus the prospect of every having another child will be a definite "no"; the possibility of a miracle will be gone and at my own doing.

- We are buying a new car or atleast new to us. We are having a tough time on deciding the right vehicle for our family. But we will get there :-) And hopefully before our next road trip. The Explorer is still doing great - but you have to wonder - how long can it last? After all, I can not even tell you the miles on my green machine - the odometer has been stuck at 216,000 miles for about 8 months!!!

Bye for now! So happy to be back :-)
